Über uns
In the beginning, there is music and a shot of the venue of the conference plus banner. In the second scene, there is an interview with Prof. Michael Saliba, the Director of the Institute for Photovoltaics of the University of Stuttgart. He explains that perovskites are a new semiconductor. The conference hosts some of the world leading experts in the field. There are some scenes showing the hall and the speakers. Saliba: The materials can be used to make solar cells and light emitting diodes as well as detectors. It has only come up about ten years ago and has flourished into a full-fledged PV technology. Now, people are trying to push it to the market or to extend its application range. Next interview: Marina S. Leite, Professor of Materials Science and Engineering at the University of California, Davis. She points out the many possibilities in terms of experiments that can be performed and the relevance of AI to speed up the development of halide perovskites. One can learn very quickly from performing only a few experiments and learn very quickly what is the actual result. Next interview: Charlotte Allard, Senior Editor, Nature Reviews Materials: Perovskite solar cells have the potential of being cheaper, made lighter and maybe more flexible. They could be complimentary to silicon solar cells in some ways. They could be integrated in windows, in wearable devices, which is not something that silicon solar cells can do because they are very rigid and also very opaque. Perovs
